Pride Of The Hill Uniform
In 2010 we decided we would add to what uniform we had by investing in a new tunic and a 2nd pair of trousers for our 25th Anniversary.  Our current shirts and trousers (black) are only one year old so the band as a whole decided to keep these but also extend the variety.  This will now enable the band to swap and change what we wear depending on the weather etc.  Our band hats will remain for the forthcoming season however those that needed replacing will be replaced and a new badge will be added to the front.

As any band knows we viewed many samples and had many discussions over the new design, colours and placement of badges etc and eventually we came to a decision which the whole band is very thrilled with.  More detail and pictures of our uniform is listed below -

Trousers Black
As you can see from our trousers our 1st pair consist of being mainly black.  We have wore these trousers for the last year and are made from a good quality material.  As you can see the are of a basic military design with having a single silver striped line down the outside of the leg.  They have a bigger belt strap as our belts will go around top of them if we are wearing our shirts.

Trousers (2nd pair)
More details on our 2nd pair of trousers will be added for 2010.  A sneak preview may appear here soon!

Jacket/Tunic
More details on our Anniversary tunic will be added for 2010.  A sneak preview may appear here soon!

Shirt
As you can see from our shirts they are all black with silver trimming on the epaulettes on the shoulders.  They have our band badge just on our left breast and also in the middle of our back just under our shoulders.  Each sleeve is embroidered with have the initial P.O.T.H. representing Pride of the Hill.  To set the shirts off we have a thin white rope around our right shoulder.

Belt
On our uniform we have a military style white belt.  Our belt is made from a PVC material which really stands out.  The buckle on the belt is silver which the Latin phrase "Dieu Et Mon Droit".  When wearing our shirts the belt will be worn around our trousers, and when wearing our tunics it will be worn over our tunics and around our waist.

Flute Pouch
As you can see from the picture our flute pouch is a long V shape to hold our 3 piece Miller Wicks.  This attaches to our white belts and helps protect flutes from damage and from being lost. The pouch is around 12 inches long and is made leather and is a hard material which is box shaped.  On the front the pouch has a strap and buckle to close over to make sure the flute stays inside the case.

Hat
The past few hats that we have had have been designed as peaked hats rather than a berry hat.  The whole of the hat is plain white apart from the peak,  it is also all leather.  We chose to go for peaked hats as the band thought this design looked a lot smarter and was moving the band in a positive direction amongst the band scene.  The hats being all white really stand out when you see us walking on parade.  We also have the added touch of our band badge pinned the middle of the hats.
