Pride Of The Hill Uniform.....
For the past 4 years we have had the same uniform. This uniform was bought brand new and was one of the 1st Blood and Thunder band to have peaked hats. The band have mainly always had the colours Red or Black so this uniform was no different. The uniform at the time was designed over a number of meetings amongst the band sampling different designs and colours. After many arguments, which was all good banter we did come out with this uniform and a new band badge as well. Since the 1st uniform was introduced there has been a few changes and additions. Since the original uniform we have now added new shirts, hats, belt and flute pouch.
This uniform consisted of Dark Navy (all most Black) with Red and Silver trimming and also the addition of a white shirt with red trimming. This was almost similar to our previous uniform except the was Gold trimming instead of Silver. The band badge was also re - designed for this uniform moving away from an oval shaped badge to a rounded badge with a map of Northern Ireland in it with Red Hand.
| Trousers As you can see from our trousers they are bright red and were only bought at the start of the 2007. Once again they are a basic design with one colour and a double coloured stripe down the outside of the leg which is Black and Silver. They have a bigger belt strap as our belts will go around top of them if we are wearing our shirts. |

Jacket/Tunic This jacket was slightly different to any other Jacket that we have had. This jacket was more modernised and a stand down collar rather than a stand up one. Once again we did not want our uniform looking to cluttered so we went for a simplistic jacket with not much detail. The jacket is Dark Navy (Black) like our trousers and we do have some Silver and Red trimming on front and back of jacket so it does not look very plain. Down the front of the jacket we added a single Red stripe to break either side up and also added Red and Silver trimming around the collar and shoulder straps to set it off. We also have Silver ropes attached to the right shoulder of jacket.

Shirt As you can see from our shirts they are all white with red trimming on the shoulders. They have our band badge just on our left breast and also in the middle of our back just under our shoulders. On each sleeve with have the initial P.O.T.H. printed representing Pride of the Hill. To set the shirts off we have a thin red rope around our right shoulder.

Belt **NEW BELT ADDED SOON**
On this uniform rather than having a plain White belt we decided to be slightly different. Our band badge has been added to the centre of the belt on the connection part. The belt itself is Red and Navy hoops. The colours chose were because that is the colour of the uniform and it was to mix in.

Flute Pouch As you can see from the picture our flute pouch is a long V shape to hold our 2 piece Miller Browns. This attaches to our white belts and helps protect flutes from damage and from being lost. The pouch is around 12 inches long and is made leather and is a hard material which is box shaped. On the front the pouch has a strap and buckle to close over to make sure the flute stays inside the case.

Hat The past few hats that we have had have been designed as peaked hats rather than a berry hat. As per rest of uniform we kept hat simple as well. The whole of the hat is plain white apart from the peak, it is also all leather. We chose to go for peaked hats as the band thought this design looked a lot smarter and was moving the band in a positive direction amongst the band scene. The hats being all white really stand out when you see us walking on parade. We also have the added touch of our band badge pinned the middle of the hats.
