25th Anniversary Year
The year 2010 will see Pride of the Hill celebrate our 25th Anniversary.  The band has come a long way from 1985 and throughout 2010 and many years to come we will strive to improve our band in every possible way. 

For our Anniversary year we plan to have numerous functions and fundraisers celebrating this achievement.  All this will enable our band to help fund new uniforms which we plan on wearing for this special year.  Below is a brief description on what we have arranged so far for the year -

New Uniform - For 2010 Pride of the Hill aim on wearing a brand new uniform for our Anniversary.  This will be a special uniform for the band and we hope to make it that bit special compared from our other uniforms.  At present the ball has started rolling and the design and colour has been decided.  Due to our current uniform being only a year old the band felt it right not to change our shirts and trousers however we will be getting new tunics and also a 2nd pair of trousers.  Keep an eye out for preview pictures coming soon.

CD Release - We will be releasing our 25th Anniversary CD during 2010.  At present we aim to have this in circulation during May or June.  A lot off hard work has been done in producing this CD which will include modern and a few older flute band tunes which should suit every generation.  The first 100 buyers off this CD will also receive a free Battle of the bands DVD from 2007.  If you are interested in pre-ordering the CD please email us.

25th Anniversary Dinner - Pride of the Hill Carnmoney are holding a Black and White ball to celebrate their 25th Anniversary at the Clarion Hotel, Carrickfergus on Saturday 20th November 2010. The evening will start at 7pm with a Champagne reception. A 4 course dinner will be served at 8pm with the presentations, live entertainment and guest speaker starting at 9.30 and continuing into the wee small hours (3am).
The invitation is open to all ex-members and their partners and all current members and partners with a limited number of tickets available for friends and family of band members.

The Clarion have put a special room rate of £60 per room for anyone attending. Tickets will be available from any band committee member and are priced at £25.  Also you can contact us via email to request tickets.
And yes, you will have to hire or buy a dinner suit and ball gown (before anyone asks).

Anniversary Parade - Pride of the Hill will be holding our 25th Anniversary Parade in Glengormley on the Saturday 4th September 2010 at 6pm. (read more)

Fundraisers - Over the year we will be holding many fundraising events to help raise funds for the up running of our band.  This year we plan on having events with other Flute bands attending and playing for us, Disco nights and a golf tournament.  Each event will be held locally and we would be great full if these could all be supported.  Events arranged so far are -

12th July - 12th Celebration    Cottonmount Arms, Mallusk (1930 hours)
